The White God
The god of a new, or at least new to this land, religion. His followers believe he is the only god, and all others are either non-existent, demons masquerading as gods, or at best, celestial beings working for their god or perhaps sainted heroes/martyrs serving their god. Followers of the White God believe it sinful to utter the name of their “one true god” and refer to him only as “God” or “Lord” or similar.
They believe their god requires them to convert all others to his worship, and requires all humans to obey his rules absolutely. Those who do not satisfy the White God are doomed to eternal torment; those who serve faithfully are rewarded with an afterlife spent in a paradise in which they engage in eternal direct worship of their god in his direct presence.
Followers of the White God are lead by a hierarchy of Priests and Bishops, who are the direct conduits to the White God. There is also an extensive side-organization of monks and nuns.
